Aussie brides-to-be have been left in disarray after a popular boutique based in melbourne and Sydney suddenly closed yesterday.
A public notice posted to ASIC’s website on Monday announced the liquidation of The Bridal Atelier.
Both stores were sent a notice for immediate closure, leaving customers “begging” for their wedding dresses, according to one staffer.
Joint liquidators Mark William Pearce and Michael Dullaway have taken over management of the boutiques, which specialise in bohemian-style gowns.

“We were appointed liquidators of the company which traded the Sydney store yesterday and of the company which traded the Melbourne store earlier today,” Dullaway tells 9Honey.
“The two companies have ceased trading and they are unable to arrange for the completion of orders,” he says.
Confirming both the Melbourne and Sydney stores had shut their doors, Dullaway noted customers will be contacted shortly.
“We are carrying out investigations and inquiries regarding the two companies including trying to identify customers and suppliers and notify them of the liquidations,” he says.
