Popular Melbourne-based homewares company Fenton & Fenton enters liquidation after 15 years in business

Well-known melbourne homewares company Fenton & Fenton has collapsed and is currently in liquidation after 15 years in business.

Founded in 2008 by Lucy Fenton, the company started in a small showroom on the trendy High Street in Prahran.

Known for its bright and colourful pieces, it sold products ranging from décor, various artworks, rugs, tables, and stools.

The company boasted almost half a million followers on Instagram and a further 75,000 fans on Facebook.

The company’s website has been replaced with a short message saying that Fenton & Fenton Pty Ltd is “now in liquidation”, with Adam Nikitins and Stewart McCallum of accounting firm EY appointed liquidators.

In addition to the Prahran store, Fenton & Fenton opened another showroom in Collingwood, but the majority of its sales came from the online store.

In an April interview, Ms Fenton credited a holiday to India as the “lightbulb moment” that sparked the launch of the business.

“I wanted to create a space where I could house unique, bold, colourful pieces, sourced from near and far,” she told The Latch.
