Popular Australian homewares brand collapses after 15 years

A popular Australian homewares brand based in melbourne” target=”_blank” rel=”” title=”Melbourne”>Melbourne‘s inner south has suddenly collapsed after 15 years.

Fenton & Fenton has replaced its online store with a notice that it has gone into liquidation, with Adam Nikitins and Stewart McCallum of EY appointed as administrators to manage the business.

The trendy brand predominantly sold homewares, furniture and artwork online, shipping across Australia and to New Zealand, but also had a brick and mortar store in the Melbourne suburb of Prahran.

It amassed a big online following in recent years, garnering more than 353,000 followers on Instagram and 75,000 on Facebook.

Updates were still being posted on the Instagram account as recently as two days ago.

Fenton & Fenton was started by director Lucy Fenton in 2008.

According to the company’s LinkedIn site, it had grown to have between 51 and 200 employees.

Customers have already begun taking to social media to express concern about their orders being filled since discovering the company has gone into administration.
