The business started as a home delivery service during the pandemic, quickly earning a cult following and opening a bricks-and-mortar restaurant on High Street in Thornbury.

Administrators Todd Gammel and Matthew Levesque-Hocking of HLB Mann Judd, who are now the liquidators, have formed the preliminary conclusion that, despite its popularity, the restaurant may have been insolvent since early 2021 due to an inability to pay its debts, including $2 million due to the ATO (the largest creditor), or to meet its obligations, including rent, wages and amounts owing to subcontractors.

The administrators recommended that the company be liquidated after no going concern offer for the business emerged, and the ATO was liquidation-creditors-debt/” target=”_blank” style=”-webkit-text-decoration:underline #990000;color:#990000;text-decoration:underline #990000;word-break:break-word;;”>reportedly the only party to vote in favour of liquidation.
